My dear CA buddies,
Hope you all have refreshed yourselves in these 2 weeks after the hectic CA exams. At least, a sense of relaxation, although if you are working or doing articleship. Kudos to all the warriors who handled the exam pressure and completed the papers. I know it is tough for the people who had to join back office the very next day. But, the students, specifically, those who are giving multiple attempts, are the true go-getters and hard workers. I am suggesting 3 important things to do after the CA exams for improving yourself:
1. A pause, a break
Take a good break, watch your favourite movies, party, hear songs, sleep as much as you can, go on trips with family or friends, or a solo trip, etc.… in short, do whatever you like. This will relax your brain, refresh your mind and help you not to take the burden of this course too much into your head. If you do not take a break, you may start losing interest in this course. So make sure you take a good break.
2. Meditation
Do meditation for at least 15 minutes a day. I know… I know… CA students hate to get up early once the exams are over. No compulsion to do it in the morning itself, meditate whenever you are free because when we work in an office environment, we are prone to multitasking. Our mind gets adapted to this and will not let us concentrate too much on 1 task for long hours, like studies. So please try to keep the mind in your control by doing meditation.
3. Read…. Read…read... finance-related articles and current affairs
I know how the days of exam preparation would have been. The cycle of bed-books-bed, straight from bed to books and back to bed after 13 or 14 hours of brain drain would have been monotonous during the past 6 months at least. But finally, you are out of your room and you are meeting a lot of people, so you need to know the important events that happened in the last 6 months to improve your knowledge in your domain and enhance your professional communication skills. Trust me, this is essential! My dear budding CAs, if you don’t understand the concepts in finance, then who else will? You will get to know the jargon used in every article within a week if you start reading regularly. Please give at least 30 mins each day for reading. If you don’t have that habit, then hear podcasts at least. But be updated and keep rocking!
Thanks for reading.
